Frequently Asked Questions

I have been advised to check the total alkalinity in my pool. What is this and what do I need to do?

The total alkalinity, which can be checked using test strips, is an illustration of the mineral content of your water.

If it is too low or too high, it prevents pH equilibrium of the water from being correctly maintained. Due to winter rains, the mineral content of your water is low.

To raise the total alkalinity to the right level, simply add alkalinity increaser to your pool.
